Border Operating Model

Due to Brexit, you will also have to deal with customs formalities at the British border from now on. The introduction of these customs rules, which are laid down in the Border Operating Model (BOM), will take place in stages. After the still limited checks in phase 1, the Customs rules have been tightened considerably as from 1 January 2022. If you and/or your chain partners do not comply with these customs requirements, this will mean an irrevocable delay. Introduction of further customs rules in the UK has been announced for the end of 2023.
